Burgers- Ranch Burgers & Onion Burgers

I’ve already told you that Mackenzie loves chocolate. Another thing she loves is… RANCH dressing. Ketchup to me is Ranch to her. Last time I made burgers, I loved adding the dry onion soup mix to flavor my burgers. This time, I thought I’d try using dry Ranch mix for a different flavor…. But I couldn’t pick just one recipe. So why not try 2?

I served these burgers on buttered, grilled whole-wheat buns with Steakhouse Caramelized Onions and a slice of tomato. Fantastic! The Ranch burger contained blue cheese, and I felt that it didn't over-power the burger at all. These burgers had tremendous flavor, and I will never just use salt-&-pepper-only ever again. I am not a burger fanatic, but I loved how juicy, moist, and flavorful these burgers were. A winner!

Onion Burgers
2-lbs 80/20 ground beef
1 tsp garlic salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Tabasco sauce, a few healthy dashes
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 packet dry onion soup mix
2 medium garlic cloves, minced

Yield: 4 burgers

Ranch Burgers
3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (I used a heaping 1/3 cup)
2 medium garlic cloves, finely minced
1 packet dry Ranch dressing mix
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Yield: 4 burgers

Directions:
1. Add all ingredients together.
2. Incorporate the ground beef with the other ingredients, just until combined.
3. Make a "well" in the middle of the beef patty. Make sure to pack the burger patty well.
4. Grill for 3-5 minutes on each side.
